Bored

"hmm... Red?"

*zap!*

"Nah. Too hot-tempered. Brown?"

*zap!*

"Too intelligent. Black?"

*zap!*

"Now he looks like that other idiot swordsman... purple?"

*zap!*

"No. Too Utena-ian. Maybe lighter?"

*zap!*

"Noooo... Too broody. I guess blonde really is the best colour... Oh! Pink!"

*zap!*

"'Gaudy', indeed. Perfect." Xellos smiled to himself for a moment as he drifted upside down. His smile melted after a moment as he righted himself in mid-air. He'd run through all of the various hairstyles that he could think of, (which was a LOT) and now had finished with hair colours. He supposed he could start on animals, but that might catch the wrong persons attention. He sighed, pondering his options. "Lina-san?"

The red-haired sorceress looked up from her counting of how many monsters they had bashed in the past week. It was rather low compared to their usual number. "Yeah?"

Xellos gave her his most pitiful look. "I'm bored."

Behind him, Zelgadis and Amelia stiffened and began wildly looking for someplace to hide.

"What about your boss?" Lina asked, putting a hand on her hip. "Doesn't she usually have something for you to do?"

He shook his head. "It's rather dull at the moment, I'm afraid."

Amelia and Zelgadis had both realised that there was no place for them to hide anywhere close and were creeping to hide behind Gourry. The large flouresant pink haired swordsman didn't appear to notice.

"Filia? You two appear to get along well." Lina smirked.

He shook his head again, rubbing the back of it. "She's recently learned a few new spells."

The Princess and the chimera were now in a muffled discussion of what to do next. Xellos wiggled his fingers at them, letting them know he could see them. Gourry, slightly confused, but still cheerful, waved back. Zelgadis and Amelia looked like a pair of scared rabbits.

Lina crossed her arms, thinking. "I suppose we could scare up some fun around here..."

Zelgadis bolted at the word 'scare', running as if his life depended on it. Amelia hung around the speeding chimera's neck like a second cape. The two of them were over a hill and lost in the horizon in less than an eye blink.

"Nevermind, Lina-san." He commented, before disappearing as well. "I found something to do!"
