"Here, Zelgadis-san! I have something for you!" Amelia bounced up and slipped a loop of beads around the startled chimera's neck. 

He blinked, looking at the beads, not sure how to deal with the unusual gift. "Uh... Thank you, Amelia."

"You're welcome Zelgadis-san!" She chirped. "How far 'til the next village, Lina-san?"

"'Bout another hour." Lina reported back. "We can get lunch there."

Amelia grinned, her eyes twinkling mischievously. "I can't wait!"

**later, in the village**

"I'll meet you back at the tavern, there's a bookstore-"

"Osuwari!"

::WHAM!:: Zelgadis suddenly found himself spread eagle in the street, kissing dirt. With a muffled curse, he attempted to sit up and pull the necklace off and discovered he could do neither.

Lina and Gourry stared as Zelgadis attempted to peel himself from the ground. "How'd you do that?!" Lina squealed.

Amelia grinned. "It's a subduing spell. A gift from a friend of mine on the 'Miko Heroines Traveling With Part Deamons' Mailing List."

Lina cackled and pointed at Zelgadis. "Osuwari!"

Zelgadis slowly sat up and glared at her, obviously favouring his lower back.

Amelia sweatdropped. "Um... Kagome-san said she was the only one to activate it. But it works to keep Inuyasha from wandering off, so I figured it might work for Zelgadis too."

Zelgadis sulked.

*** Even Later ***

"That's it!" Zelgadiss got tired of dodging the ogres attack and preformed a triple summersault over the ogre's head.

The battle stopped as everyone looked at the Chimera. "Is that allowed?" One of the ogres asked.

"Yes." Lina said, taking advantage of the distraction to fireball their opponents.

"Wow!" Amelia gushed. "That was awesome!!! Where'd you learn to do that?!"

Zelgadiss smirked, sheathing his sword. "From a guy called Trowa Barton on the 'One-Eyed Mysterious Bishonen' Mailing List."

Lina stomped her foot. "Man! EVERYONE'S on those things."

"Yeah. They're pretty neat." Gourry agreed, calmly sheathing the Hikari no Ken.

Lina gawked at him. "What ML are you on?!"

"The 'Swordsman with Shape Changing Blades' ML." Gourry said patiently. "Oh, Zelgadiss. Inuyasha offers his sympathies."

Zelgadiss fingered the beaded necklace that was stuck around his neck and glared at the Princess of Saillune. Amelia looked around innocently.

"Are you on any OTHER MLs besides the 'Miko Heroines traveling with Part Deamons' ML?" He asked with a dangerous undercurrent to his voice.

"Well," Amelia mused. "I'm co-moderator with Chang Wu Fei on the 'Justice for All' ML. Oh! And I understand that we might want to keep an eye out for Gaav. He's been trading tips with Legato and Aoshi on the 'Trenchcoated and Deadly' ML."

"It's not fair!" Lina ranted, stomping her feet and throwing a general temper tantrum. "I wanna join a Mailing List!!"

The other three traded looks. "Think we should tell her about the 'Explosive Redhead with Lotta Firepower' ML?" Gourry offered.

"And have her trading tips with Ranma-chan and half of the Dirty Pair?" Zelgadiss asked, crossing his arms. "I don't think so."
