Disclaimer: Takahashi Rumiko sama Youkai Dreams.By Icka! M. Chif. The wench looks up at me with large startled silver eyes as she flies backwards into the tree, driven by my fist. I can almost taste the tears about to spill over in horror as she kyaa's. It's beautiful. Grinning, I lean forward, breathing in the terror in her scent. It's a heady mix, stronger and more intoxicating than any drug, spell or anything mortals do behind closed doors. What a fool I've been all these years. Her mouth moves, but no sounds come out. My grin grows. "What's the matter?" I taunt. "Dog youkai got your tongue?" Oh, wait... I do! A simple mixture in her tea, rendering her voiceless. So simple I should have thought of it long before this. No word, no spell, no problem. Chuckling, I lean in closer, close enough that our faces almost brush. "Goodbye." I whisper, almost caressingly bringing my claws across her fragile pale neck. She lets out a strangled gasp as blood, warm and thick coats my fingers and runs down her ridiculously too short outfit. Her lips move, it almost appears she whispers my name as the light in her eyes fades. "Fool." I sneer, breaking the blood stained Shikon no Tama off the chain around her lifeless neck. I am complete now. A full youkai at last, in possession of the Shikon no Tama and the witch's prayer beads no longer hold any power over me. Life is beautiful.
Inuyasha gasped, waking up with such a jerk that he nearly fell off the tree branch he was sleeping on. It was just a dream, he chided himself. Merely a dream. Looked down at the sleeping girl, reassuring himself with the fact that Kagome was alive and asleep below him as she should be. It had merely been a dream, it couldn't happen. Yet it almost had, he reminded himself. He had turned full youkai once already and probably would have killed her if she hadn't heeded his warning. The fact that he had warned her was proof enough that he *could* control his youkai half but... It had been closer than he would ever care to admit. But still, what happened in his dream wouldn't... couldn't possibly happen. Could it? Finis. |
