Disclaimer: Takahashi Rumiko sama. Full Circle.By Icka! M. Chif How did this happen? Inuyasha thought to himself. Everything had been going along so well. He and Kagome had finally gathered together all of the shards of the Shikon no Tama together. It had taken a while, but they had succeeded in doing so. Not to everybody's shock, he'd decided to use the Shikon no Tama to follow Kikyo's wishes and turn himself human. From her reaction, Kagome had been secretly ecstatic by it. Shippou had been less than thrilled, but had stayed around anyway enjoying the ability to prank with fewer consequences. Kaede-Baba had been the most pleased by it, adopting him as a sort of son in front of the whole village. Which lead him to the current situation. She'd asked him to run an errand to a nearby town for him, dropping off supplies, picking up some others and information. Kagome being in her time and he having nothing really better to do, he'd agreed. It had been clear traveling until he'd the reached the base of some cliffs. He'd thought he'd seen Kikyo and given chase, mentally cursing his dulled senses. He had finally caught up to her in a ravine, catching her gi's sleeve. She'd finally recognised him and appeared to go into shock. He had just about to inquire why when the rocks above suddenly started to move. He spotted a cave and had just pushed Kikyo into it, away from the landslide, when he'd been caught in it. So now he was staring at his broken and bloody corpse, which was laying in front of the cave the landslide had covered. The cave that Kikyo was now trapped in, with no way out. The human was dead while the part youkai was trapped for who knew how long. The same situation he had found himself over 50 years ago, only with the roles reversed. Inuyasha sighed and turned to the tsukai floating beside him. "Alright, let's get this over with." He muttered. "As soon as Kagome finds out I'm dead, she's going to kill me." As they nodded and began to escort him away, Inuyasha sighed again, and with the detached calm of the dead remarked to no one in particular; "My life stinks." Fin. A 'Tsukai' is a ferrymen of dead souls. We see them in manga #4. Comments, questions and other strange ways for them to use the Shikon no Tama, please send to icka_IMP@hotmail.com Thanks. |
