Drabbles

Me being an Arse.

It has approached my attention that the definition concerning how numerous characters can constitute a word was not mentioned. According to typewriter etiquette and Microsoft Word, a word consists of five symbols. However in the examples presented, that is not the circumstance. Therefore, words similar to Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwenuakitnatahu, a New Zealand hill which is the longest place-name still in practice, can be utilized and counted exclusively as one word. Or if an individual prefers to adhere to the English language, according to the Oxford English Dictionary that would be pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, or it's plural pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconioses, which has the same amount of characters.

The Story.

"Tell me a story!" The tiny boy begged his older sister for the umpteenth time that night.

"Fine." She sighed in a long suffering tone. The whining was getting on her nerves. It was late, she was tired.. "Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful prince and princess that lived happily ever after. The End."

"That's not a story!" He protested, crossing his arms and pouting as only little kids can.

"Sure it is. Now good night." With that, she pulled the covers up to his chin, kissed him goodnight and turned off the light on her way out.

Short GenX.

Jono and Angelo were walking on campus grounds, talking about the usual depressing stuff when Paige suddenly came running up to them, eyes sparkling merrily. Before they could react, she quickly jumped up, kissed both of them on the lips (or where the lips would be) and ran off again. They stared at her retreating back in disbelief and shock.

:Did she just-: Jono started.

Angelo touched the chapstick on his lips as if checking if it was real. "Si..."

"Did you do it?" Jubilee demanded as Paige returned, breathless and glowing.

Paige nodded, grinning. "Now for *your* dare, Jubes..."

Finis, for now.
