Silver Fox's Inu Yasha Crossover Challenge.

Inuyasha / Extreme Ghostbusters

By Icka! M. Chif

Inu Yasha stomped back towards the well. Kagome and himself had fought over how long she would stay in her time- and of course, she'd won again, telling him to SIT!

"Damn her! Why do I always have to look like the bad guy?! I just want to get this damn quest over with!" Inu Yasha muttered, slipping inside the well.

"Inu Yasha!!!" Kagome's cry alerted him.

"Eh?" He popped his head back up to see Kagome standing in the shrine's doorway.

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to hurt your feelings." Kagome sighed. "I just have this huge test tomorrow and-"

"Feh. I don't care. You don't want me around? Fine! I'll just go then." Inu Yasha snorted, going back to the well.

"Wait!!" Kagome said, reaching for him.

"What?" He looked irritated.

"I.... What's that?" Kagome pointed past him, towards the wall. Inu Yasha looked to where she had pointed.

"What in the seven hells??" He gasped, backing away.

"It looks like a.... portal.. I think." Kagome carefully walked over to a semi-large rainbow colored hole that was plastered to the wall. The portal tremored when Kagome touched it. Suddenly-

"KYAAA!!" Kagome shouted, as the portal sucked her in.

"KAGOME!" Inu Yasha jumped forward, and grabbed her thighs. Both blushed at the awkward position, and the portal took the chance to suck them both inside.

"And... I think that's the last of them." Kylie remarked, waving around her PKE meter.

"Good." Eduardo slumped against a handy brick wall. "Can we go home now?"

"Yeah, Edwina needs her beauty sleep." Garrett snickered.

Roland spoke up. "Guys, knock it off."

Eduardo and Garrett rolled their eyes. "He started it." Eduardo muttered.

Garrett was about to reply when a bright flash of light coming from a nearby alley caught their attention. Kylie's PKE meter leapt to life.

"Oooh, yeah. They're all gone." Eduardo grumbled, getting off the wall.

"Let's go." Kylie muttered grimly. She wanted to go home too, but wasn't about to mention it.

Bickering forgotten for the moment, they charged down toward where the light had come from.

"Ohhh..." Inu Yasha held his head with a hand as he looked up from the foul smelling ground. "That's the last time I do that."

"Kyaaa!!!" Kagome pounded on his back. "Git off me! You're heavy!"

He snorted. How would she know heavy with that pack of hers? HE attempted to push himself up right. His hands slipped on the ground and he ended up crashing on top of Kagome again.

"Ahhh! Baka!" She growled, hitting him again. He was about to snap a retort when footsteps pounded their way. They both looked up to see 4 people come charging at them, some sort of strange lance in their hands.

"There's some strange energies coming from here." Kylie muttered, fiddling with the PKE meter. "I can't seem to quite get a clear reading."

"He's attacking the girl." Garrett growled, priming his blaster. "That's all we need to know."

"Can you get a clearer reading, Ky?" Roland asked, looking over her shoulder.

"I'm trying." She growled.

"There is no try, only do." Garrett quoted. "It's a ghostie, that's all we need to know." With that, he opened fire, barely missing the red-robed deamon.

To their surprise, the deamon rolled, taking the screaming girl with him as he got to his feet. He set her behind him, resting a hand on his sword hilt. The girl rested a hand on his arm, preventing him from drawing it while he shouted at them in a forgien language.

"Tricky little bugger." Garrett remarked, pausing his fire.

"Something doesn't feel right..." Eduardo, who had been hanging back, said nervously. "I've got a bad feeling about this."

"You've always got a bad feeling." Roland commented.

"Yeah, but this is a REALLY bad feeling."

"I hate to say it, but I agree with Eduardo." Kylie looked up from the meter, a serious look in her dark eyes.

"Can I get that in writing?" Eduardo asked quickly. She glared at him.

"No. I can't get a clear reading on either of them. I'm picking up both human and deamonic signatures."

"So they're both deamons?" Roland mused.

"I think they're both humans."

"Get outta here!" Garrett dismissed the notion. "Look at his ears! Dog-boy there certain isn't human!"

"Part?" Kylie ventured.

"I can't understand a word they're saying." Inuyasha growled. "What are they? Sorcerers?"

"Ano..." Kagome tightened her grip on his sword arm, swallowing nervously. "I think I know what they're saying."

He glanced at her.

"English." She explained. "It's one of the things I've been learning at school. But they're talking too fast, I can't quite make it out."

He snorted, grumbling a few choice words under his breath about her 'school'.

She glared at him, setting her jaw stubbornly before resolutely stepping in front of him.

"Ano... Sumimasen? Excuse me?" She called down the alley at them.

Inuyasha grabbed her arm, amber eyes flashing. "What the hells do you think you're doing?" He growled.

"Talking to them." She said calmly.

The Ghostbusters froze as the two suddenly began to quickly bicker back and forth in a strange language.

"What are they saying?" Roland asked, scratching his head.

"Got me." Garrett shrugged. Eduardo shook his head, not having a clue either.

"I think... I think it's like Japanese, or one of the Oriental languages." Kylie pondered as their bickering raised in volume a notch. "Egon would know."

"So, like what do we do? Take them home with us?" Garrett growled sarcastically.

Roland and Kylie exchanged looks.

"Oh, no." Eduardo groaned. "Man... we aren't... You have GOT to be kidding me!"

"Osuwari!" The girl suddenly snapped interrupting them. *WHAM!* Dog boy flipped horizontal, kissing alley floor.

The Ghostbusters blinked. That had been unexpected.

The girl smiled nervously at them, a bead of sweat dripping off one side of her face. "Gomen nasai... Ah, Sorry. My..." she waved her hand in a circle, a classic gesture of searching for the right word "...Friend is imp-ulse-ive."

Her 'friend' let out only what could have been a stream of expletives. Garrett flinched. "Jeez."
