Meet the Gargoyles.

"Uh, Guys-?" Kylie's wavering voice came from his left. Eduardo diverted his attention from the flying ghosts and winged mean looking creatures flying over the Eerie building for a second to see what she wanted. She was pinned against the wall of the castle, a large bluish 'dog' the size of a small car was growling in front of her, eyes glowing like lanterns.

"-Help?" She squeaked.

"Hold on!" He shouted, diving to tackle her out of the 'dog's' path as it lunged for her. The dog moved faster than he could believe, and he ended up on the dog's back. For a moment, all three of them froze, staring at each other.

"Uh, oh." he had just enough time to say before the dog started to move. Thrown forward, he grabbed the dog's ear/horn/fin-things and held on for dear life. It started to buck like raging bronco, trying to throw him off as it ran around the castle turrets. It was a ride he could have done with out. He screamed as they headed for a flight of stairs.

"Hold on!" He vaguely heard Kylie shout behind him. Like he had choice. He closed his eyes, bracing himself as the dog leaped for the stairs. He was thrown forward once, then twice, then the bucking resumed. He opened his eyes. He was still on the dog. It was heading for Garrett and Roland. "Look out!" He screamed.

They turned and saw him barreling for them. Roland threw himself flat as the dog jumped, while Garrett backed up, barely missing the rampaging dog.

"Watch where you're riding that thing!" Roland shouted after him.

"Tell *that* to him!" He shouted back, voice shaking as he was tossed around.

"Yee-ha! Ride 'im Eddie!" Garrett cheered. He'd come back with a snappy retort to that later. Right now he was to busy just trying to stay in one piece.

A large shadow flew above them as a commanding voice ordered "Sit."

The dog did.

He was momentarily thrown forward again, then the weight of the pack sent him backwards, tumbling down the dog's large back. He landed in a jumbled heap face down on the ground. The dog sat up, sniffed him, then happily wandered over to the large winged purple shadow that had landed in front of them.

Kylie came running up, looking at the PKE meter in her hand. "Eduardo!" She said breathlessly. "The winged ones and the dog aren't ghosts!" She exclaimed eagerly.

He groaned, sitting up. "What was your first clue?" He muttered, rubbing his head.

Finis.

NOT to be continued.
