Can also be used as a greeting among friends.
Crows will say 'Ahou' in the background for comedic purposes if someone's being an idiot.

Charms:
Omamori
A small charm bag, usually embroidered with a page of sutra in it for protection. Can be bought for general protection and luck or individual things, like homework and easy childbirth. Can be bought at most temples and shrines for about 500 yen.
In my humble experience, they do work. I've never been in juried while carrying one and my sister's traffic accidents stopped once I gave her one for traffic safety.
Teruteru Bôzu
The little ghost looking doll that Ran puts outside her window to keep the weather sunny. Can be made out of paper or cloth.

Tsutenkaku Tower
It's that tall tower the Kaitou Kid is standing on in the Third Movie when the power goes out.
The tallest tower in Japan until the Tokyo Tower was built.
The top of the tower lights up with different colours at night, to let you know the weather forecast for the upcoming day.
White = Fine
Orange = Cloudy
Blue = Rainy
