"The Case of the Murdered Diplomat" Files 92-96 Vol. 10.2-6 Episodes 48-49	Heiji's First Apperance / Kudo Shin'ichi's First Reappearance Heiji appears at the Mouri Detective Agency because he's heard that Kudo hangs out there. He's heard rumours of the famed 'Teenage Detective of the East' and wants to meet Kudo to find out just how good he is.
"The Holmes Freak Trip" Files 117-121 Vol. 12.7-10, 13.1 Episodes 57-58	Heiji signs up for a Holmes Lover's Club in hopes of running into Kudo, despite the fact that he prefers Ellery Queen. They head of the Holmes Lover's Club dies in a suspcious way after promising a first edition of 'A Study in Scarlet', the first novel Holmes appeared in. He discovers that Conan is Kudo Shin'ichi after Conan knocks Heiji out and uses Heiji's voice to solve the mystery.
"Unnatural Death in the Disquished Family." Files 150-153 Vol. 15.10-16.1-3 Episodes 77-78	The first dead body falling from a tall height around Heiji. Nagato Donsan, head of the Nagato Corperation and old kendo sparring partner of Heiji's father calls Heizo in for some help after hearing some suspious noises outside his bedroom. Heizo returns back to Osaka, leaving guards and his 'punk' son behind. When Nagato's Son-in-law dies and his sone goes missing, Heiji and Conan first compete to solve the mystery, then work together to do. Conan: "A detective who corners someone with logic, but lets them commit suicide, is no different from a murder." Heiji: "Such pain to my ears... To hear the perfect one say such a line." Conan: "There's no such thing as a perfect person. Even I'm just one person..."
"Serial Killer of Naniwa" Files 185-188 Vol.19.5-8 Episode 118	Another Death from a tall height around Heiji. Heiji invites Conan, Ran and Mouri to Osaka to visit after having a dream of Kudo being stabbed in the heart and killed. He shows them the highlights of Osaka - Especially the food. Ran feels like she's being stalked, only to discover that it's been Kazuha following them around. A dead body falls onto the hood of the car they're riding in, a victim of the serial killer that's been stalking Osaka - leaving the victims with a wallet pinning their wallets to their hearts with a knife. Heiji and Conan pair up to solve the murder. Heiji loans Conan his omamori, which then stops a knife attack, saving Conan's life. Heiji is shot in the belly apprehending the murderer, but refuses to let the murder kill himself. See Conan's line above from previous chapter.
"The Case of the Separated Lovers" Files 211-214 Vol. 21.11, 22.1-3 Episodes 141-142	Also known as "The Murder before Marriage". Heiji goes to Tokyo to attend a wedding of a friend of his Mother's after she dropped a hot Takoyaki pan on her foot and broke a bone. Kazuha tags along because Heiji's mom asked her to and so she can go shopping in Shibuya. The bride doesn't seem all that happy to be married. After the butler is murdered in a closed room case, Heiji and Kudo work together to solve the case. Kazuha is jealous of Ran, because her outfits keep matching Heiji's. When Ran dresses Kazuha to match Heiji, he thinks it makes them look like siblings. (while at the temple, he tells Kazuha she should pray for nice legs. snickers)
"The 20th Year Motive: Murder Aboard the Ogasawara" Files 225-230 Vol. 23.4-9 Episodes 173-174	Conan figures out the answer to a riddle in the newspaper, winning he, Ran and Mouri a free cruise. A murder happens after they set sail and they discover that there's another detective on board - Heiji! The Detective of the West was invited to come, and given a stack of bills. He came to return the bills. Heiji gets hit over the head and tossed overboard. He wears boxers.
"Spider Mansion" Files 246-250 Vol. 25.4-8 Episodes 166-168	Heiji gets lost and runs out of gas on the way to a mystery he was invited to solve. When Kazuha worries, he suggests that they may have to sleep outside, curled up together for warmth. She blushes, he's clueless. They run into an American photographer, also lost. Heiji tosses his helmet at a passing car who didn't stop, only to run into Mouri, Conan and Ran. The Spider Mansion has a history of people dieing in the storage room, a former Temple to a slain Spider Demon, defeated by a Puppet Master. The victims are hung from the rafters, strings tangled around them like a Spider's Web.
"The Desperate Revival / Shin'ichi's Return" Files 254-260 Vol. 26.1-7 Episodes 188-193	Conan is shot in the previous story and Heiji comes to visit him in the hospital after Agasa calls him, it appears that Ran has figured out who Conan is. Conan doesn't understand why Ran hasn't said anything. Heiji deducts it's because she's waiting for him to tell her. Kudo asks Heiji what would he do if he were in Kudo's shoes. We don't get an answer. During the school play Ran has a lead in, Heiji disguises himself as Kudo to throw Ran off track, making it appear that Conan and Kudo are in the same place at the same time. When a murder happens in the audience, Kazuha ruins this, seeing through the disguise easily. Heiji then helps Kudo with the deductions, acting as his assistant because they are in Tokyo. After Kudo collapses, Heiji gets on the microphone and asks the audience to keep the days events secret because a murder at the school would start up rumours.
"The Client Full of Lies" Vol. 28.3-5 Files 276-278 Episodes 220-221	Shizuka's first Appearance. She does Kendo. She faces the murder, who is wielding a katana. She stops an attack by catching the blade in her closed fan, trapping the blade and pulling the katana from the murder's hands. She wants to know who this person is that Heiji's spending so much time with and getting beaten up.
"The Mermaid Weeps Again" Files 279-283 Vol. 28.6-10 Episodes 222-224	Heiji receives a letter addressed to Kudo Shin'ichi, asking him to come to Mermaid Isle, else they will be killed by the Mermaid. (in myth, eating a mermaid's flesh is supposed to grant immortality) When they arrive, the yearly Mermaid Festival is going on, Kazuha winning a sacred arrow that is supposed to grant it's owner good luck and longevity. But if you loose the arrow, you'll receive a curse and die. During the course of the investigation, Heiji and Kazuha fall off the edge of a cliff. Heiji grabs a branch and Kazuha, but can't pull her up as well. She stabs him in the hand with the arrow, wishing to pass the longevity to him, even if she should die. He calls her an idiot and refuses to let go of her.
"Osaka K3" Vol. 29.9-11 Episodes 238-239	Kazuha thinks that Heiji's having an affair with someone because of all the suspicous phone calls he's making to Kudo, asking if Kudo's alone. Heiji invites Conan to the opening to the new 'Osaka K3' restaurant, because his favourite soccer player from when he was a child is one of the new owners.
"Twilight Palace" Files 299-302 Vol. 30, Ch 4-7 Episode 219	Heiji's mother called to turn down the invitation to solve the mystery of the Sunset Mansion because of Mid-term Exams.
"Heiji's First Standalone Case" Files 314-316 Vol. 31.8-10 Episode 263 -2 Hour Special	Okita's First Appearance in Detective Conan. (he appears in volume 23/24 of Yaiba) Heiji's parents invite Mouri, Ran and Conan to dinner in Osaka, which coincides with Heiji's school Kendo championships. Heiji's ranked 5 on his team, he's the best fighter on his team and is supposed to fight his rival Okita in the final round. A dead body appears in the equipment room and while people rush off to inform the police it disappears. Only to re-appear in the shower room without anyone seeing it. Heiji leaves the tournament to solve the mystery. When the murder attacks him with a katana, he stops a blow with his mobile (has an omamori on it). When the mobile is cut in half, he jumps and lands on the katana blade, defeating the murder while standing there. His team looses the tournament.
"Murder at Osaka Castle" Files 317-321 Vol. 31.11, 32.1-4 Episode 263 -2 Hour Special	Kazuha leads the tour of Osaka this time, taking them to Osaka Castle to view the sights. While there, they run into five history fans on the 'Eight Days of Taikou Hideyoshi's History Tour', visiting the places Hideyoshi did. While looking for Kazuha's lost wallet at Osaka Castle, a burning man falls off the roof of the castle. His last act is to grab the umbrella Heiji is holding, giving a clue to a case from thirteen years ago that Heiji and Kazuha's fathers are still attempting to close. Upon finding Heiji's involvement with the case, Hanzo punches him, which just enrages Heiji and encourages him to work all the harder at solving the case.
"Visiting Jodie" Files 341-343 Vol. 34.2-7 Episodes 277-278	Dead body falling from a great height to land infront of Heiji! Agasa-hakase calls Heiji and requests that he come up for a visit to help Shin'ichi. In the process, he accidentally stands Kazuha up, he invited her out to eat at a restarunt Otaki-han had recommended in Umeda. They visit Jodie-sensei, Ran's English teacher, believing that she might be Vermouth, one of the men in black. A murder happens during the course of the visit, a dead body falling in front of them. Heiji notices that her accent is funny, she speaks better Japanese than she lets on. She points out that he excels at speaking english. He also pick pocketed the film she'd used to take pictures of he and Conan solving the murder.
"Death Island" Files 361-365 Vol. 35.11, 36.1-4 Episodes 291-923	Heiji is invited to be involved in a game show, "Detectives East-West Challenge" versus Mouri in Okinawa. Island economy hasn't been well since the last time they went to visit the islands (Mermaid Island). Heiji invites Kazuha along as an apology for standing her up.
"Heiji and Kazuha in Grave Danger" Files 390-392 Vol. 38.8-10 Episodes 323-324	While meeting with Kusukawa, a former police officer under Kazuha's father, Heiji and Kazuha are kidnapped and handcuffed in an attic in an attempt to force Heiji to crack a code.
"Red Horse Arson Case" Files 393-397 Vol. 39.1-5 Episodes 325-327	A series of Arson fires are breaking out in Beika that Heiji was asked to help solve by Kusukawa. When Ran hangs a Teruteru Bôzu on the window to chase the rain away from Conan's field trip the next day, Heiji pulls it inside, so Conan can't go and will solve the mystery with him. Conan comments he'll be cursed for it. While Investigating, Conan and Heiji notice a striking resemblance to a famous case by the Detective with the little Grey Cells...
Masquerade Files 430-434 Vol. 42.5-10 Episode 345 -2 Hour Special	Heiji disguises himself as Kudo at a masquerade party in hopes of catching the Black Ops. Kudo's mom spent 6 hours getting the make up correct.
"Which One's Reasoning Show" Files 441-444 Vol. 43.6-9 Episodes 381-382	Kazuha challenges Heiji that she can solve the case before he does. If she wins, they go to Takarazuka (a play). If he wins, they go to Koshien (high school baseball finals). She solves the Dying Message left behind, but he wins by solving the rest of it. And then can't figure out where he went wrong, he was trying to let her win...
"Demon at Koshien" Files 445-449 Vol. 43.10-44.1-3 Episode 383 -2 Hour Special	Crossover with Yoban Saato. While at Koshien, they receive a supposedly lost cell phone. The cellphone isn't lost, it's a message. Unless they solve the riddles before time runs out, the entire baseball stadium will go up in flames, taking everyone with it.
"Magician Murder" Files 487-490 Vol. 47.8-11 Episodes 406-408	Kazuha asks Heiji to go to a Magic Show with her to explain the tricks to her. She then gets mad when he does. ^^;; After Ran and Kazuha attempt to save the magician when an escape trick goes wrong, they're invited to dinner at the Magician's Sensei's house, where a murder happens. Heiji admits that he gets annoyed and has trouble concentrating on a case when Kazuha does something flirtatious, especially other guys, but can't figure out why. He finally figures it out: It's the concern a boss has for a follower. ~_~;;
"Flashback: Heiji's First Case" Files 518-522 Vol. 50.8-11, 51.1 Episode: 490	Flash back to when Heiji was 15 and on a ski trip with his school. Murder mystery involving the story of the Yuki no Onna (Snow Maiden). Heiji and Shin'ichi scramble to solve the case, without ever meeting each other while their parents try help from the background.
Files 559-561 Volume 54.6-8 Episodes: 479	Conan invites Heiji and Kazuha up to Tokyo to help him solve the mystery of Hondou Eisuke and Mizunashi Rena, because of a picture that shows that Rena might have grown up in Osaka. A monk-in-training enlists them for help discovering the secret of the corpses at the local monastary that only he seems to be able to see.
"Detective Koushin" Files 562-566 Volume 54.9-55.2 Episode: 479	A contest between High School Detectives on a deserted island! Heiji represents the West... and Hakuba Saguru represents the East?! But it's not all fun and games when the teenage contestants start to drop dead.
File 582 Volume 56.7	Heiji calls Conan to fill him in on the information he found out about Hondou Eisuke.
File 585 Volume 56.10	Heiji checks in with Conan about what was discovered with Eisuke and warns him to be careful. They're the same type of personality and likely to charge into dangerous situations without reguard for getting hurt.
"Centipede" File 613-618 Volume 59.5-10	Conan and Heiji are hired by rivalling familys to solve the deaths of their sons, each found with a centipede next to their corpses. The murders are based on famous Fu-Rin-Ka-Zan phrase from Sun-Tsu's 'The Art of War': "Swift as the Wind, as Slient as the Forest, as Fierce as Fire and as Immovable as a Mountian."
"Kudo Shin'ichi - Murderer?!" Files 646- 651 Volume 62.5-10	Kudo Shin'ichi - Murderer?!
"Highway Murder" Files 652-653 Volume 62.11-63.2	Kudo still in his proper body, they head back to Beika, only to be stopped by a murder on the highway.
File 655 Volume 63.3	Heiji discusses Kudo turning back into Conan after he reached Osaka.
File 692 Volume	Heiji helped the Shonen Tantei figure out the secret of a building made by Samizu Kichiemon behind the scenes.
File 693-695 Volume	Kazuha was asked to make a charm for Kunisue Teruaki, a High School tennis player whose parents live next to Kazuha. Heiji unknowningly gave Kazuha's omamori charm with his photo on the inside to Kunisue, who is now missing. While Heiji and Conan try to discover what happened to Kinisue, Kazuha tries to recover her charm before Heiji sees the photo.

OVA #2: The 16 Suspects	While relaxing at Shiratori's new villa in Karuizawa during the autumn, a bottle of rare wine from his collection is broken. The suspects? The Police Detectives, the Shonen Tantei, Mouri, Eri, Ran, Kazuha and Conan! And why is Heiji giving Conan such thoughtful looks?
OVA #3: Conan, Heiji & the Vanished Boy	Heiji and Kazuha invite Conan and Ran to Osaka when they run into a group of kids with a remarkable resemblance to the Shonen Tantei who are looking for their missing friend, who might have been grabbed by a pair of bank robbers.
OVA #6: Conan & Heiji vs Kid	Conan calls Heiji from Osaka to catch a blackmailer whose voice sounds like Heiji's. While tracking the culprit down, they discover a stolen gem, one that the Kaitou Kid also seems to be interested in...
OVA #9: The Stranger in 10 Years	Conan dreams of himself and the others around him 10 years in the future, if he grows up as Conan. Heiji is interviewed on the TV as a great Osaka detective. When the question of his popularity with the ladies is brought up, Kazuha is extremely vocal about it.

Third Movie: Last Wizard of the Century	Shows up to heckle Kudo, fight with Kazuha, minorly insult Sonoko's father, figure out the time that Kid is going to strike and where from, chase the Kaitou Kid on his motorcycle, get hit by a truck and sprain something.
Seventh Movie: Crossroads at the Ancient Capital.	When Heiji was in 3rd grade, he and Kazuha visited Kyoto. He visited a shrine there and saw a girl under the Sakura blossoms, his first love. He's never seen here again, but he does have a reminder of her, a small jewel that he carries in his coinbag.
Tenth Movie: Requiem of the Detectives	Heiji's invited to the same challenge as Mouri and Conan... solve the riddle before the bombs on their friends go boom. Conan, Heiji and Hakuba Saguru team up to solve the mystery and save their friends from yet another amusement park. With maybe a little bit of help from the Kaitou Kid.
