I hope you don't mind, Icka, but I've been playing around with TGZ. It's a gift. I have no idea if it will fit into your story line but it wouldn't leave me alone.

“I know he’s supposed to be a great detective but…milk?! Who’s afraid of milk? And what was up with having to touch every light pole and parking meter he passed?”
Saguru pulled an ice pack off his eyes, “It appears he suffers from obsessive compulsive disorder and a phobia of milk.” He raised an eyebrow, “But you already figured that out.”
“And phobias of crowds, germs, and heights,” added Kaito gleefully.
“You didn’t have to torment the poor man,” the blond said, placing the pack back over aching eyes. “What is it with you and tormenting detectives?”
Kaito grinned cheekily, “What can I say, they have the best reactions.” He tugged on a lock of Saguru’s hair, “Say…how do you feel about pink hair and a Mohawk?”
His companion bolted upright and glared at him. Kaito laughed, “See? You do have the best reactions.”
“I’m going to get you for that,” Saguru muttered, lying back down and patting around the bed for his ice pack.
Kaito wiggled his eyebrows up and down suggestively, “What are you going to do? Handcuff me?”
“Don’t you think you’ve given me enough of a headache today?” Saguru asked almost plaintively.
“Hey, somebody needs to keep you on your toes.”
Finally finding the ice pack and placing it back over his eyes, Saguru said, “If you keep this up, I’m going to make sure the next place we go has people in capes.”
Kaito winced, “That’s a low blow but you win.” He flopped down on the bed next to the other man.
“And when we see him tomorrow, you are not going to do anything to excite his phobias. You are not allowed to imitate him either. The captain in charge looked like he wanted to throttle you for imitating the other man. Actually, it looked like he wanted to throttle both of you.”
“Eh, it was the thing with reactions again. …Say, ‘Guru?”
“Yes?”
“Do you think we’ll actually make it to the Golden Gate Bridge tomorrow?”
“Yes. Why?”
“Nothing, ‘cept that the first day we were here the trolley to the bridge was hit by that girl that just discovered she was a princess and today we helped the weird detective work on a murder case and we’re helpin’ him tomorrow.” He sighed, “I get the feeling that the universe doesn’t want us to make it there.”
Saguru snorted, “That’s preposterous. I’ll concede defeat, though, if anything really unusual happens tomorrow. But I don’t believe anything will.”
“Famous last words,” the magician muttered as he rolled over and went to sleep.

“I concede,” Saguru said, pale faced except for the blush that stained his checks as Kaito snickered.
“I told you so! Every time we try to visit the bridge, something happens.”
Saguru looked frustrated, “I still don’t know how I misread those directions.”
“Like I said last night, the universe is conspiring against us. Otherwise, how could we have stumbled across the only nude beach in San Francisco?” Kaito thought for a moment and asked with a devious grin, “Should we go back and join them?”

Crossovers: Monk and The Princess Diaries (the movie. The books are based out of NYC). The nude beach is a real place. I stumbled across information about it quite by accident.
