| By day, Kuroba Kaito is a hyperactive high school student and
magician, living a happy, carefree life with his mother and his best
friend, Nakamori Aoko. By night, however, he sheds his masks and dons a white suit and monocle to become the Kaitou Kid, jewel thief extraordinaire. The Kaitou Kid is notorious, not just for delivering notices to the public and police of what he's going to take and when, or for taking his targets despite the most sophisticated security systems human ingenuity can devise, but also for returning what he takes a few days later, unharmed. That last is, of course, what drives the police force, headed by Aoko's father, crazy. They don't know that Kaito is in fact the son of the first Kaitou Kid, who was murdered by a criminal organisation that he had once been hired by, and that his heists are not for gain but an attempt to lure his father's murderers out of hiding - an attempt that seems to be getting mixed results so far... .summary by the lovely Windtear. | Voice Actor: Ikeda Shuuichi Deceased. The Original Kaitou Kid. Kaito's father, killed by Snake/Jackal 8 years ago in a massive explosion on stage during "Kuroba Toichi's Great Escape" in what appeared to be an accident. (MK ch.1, page 33, top of page, behind Jii) One of the 'Seven Knights' Kudo Yukiko has met. He taught her and Sharon Vineyard (Vermouth) disguise and role making. |

Kaito's Mom. Name unknown. Only appearance is first chapter of the first volume. She knew Toichi was Kid. |
| Hair/Eye Colour: Black Hair, Black Eyes,
moustache. First Appearance: Vol 1 Ch. 1 - The Resurrected Kaitou Voice Actor: Ishizuka Unsho Inspector in the Metropolitan Police Department Investigative Group 2. He's been chasing the thief since he was 20. Terrible temper, passionate about capturing Kid. Gets depressed when there haven't been any heists for a while. Seen smoking a pipe in earlier manga, a cigar later. Acts kind of like an uncle towards Kaito. He drinks whiskey without ice. In 'Black Star', he (loudly) requests that the thief be referred to as 'Kaitou Kid' instead of 'Kaitou 1412' to cause less confusion. |

First Appearance: Detective Conan Vol 30: Sunset Mansion Hakuba's hawk, who gets agitated around blood. He got Watson in England. Icka Note: After some research, due to size and colouring we're pretty certain Watson is a Female Eurasian Sparrow hawk, which are found across Europe and Asia, as well as Britain and Japan. |

Kid's ultimate goal to find, what he's sworn to destroy to keep out of the hands of his father's killers. Pandora is hidden inside of a larger gem. If you hold the stone containing Pandora to the moonlight while the Volley Comet passes (once every 10,000 years) it will glow red and cry tears of immortality. Notes: 10,000 years ago is 8,000 BC, the Mesolithic or Middle Stone Age. Primitive writing was developed in Mesopotamia at this time. Draw your own conclusions. |

The name of the city or prefecture that MK takes place is
never actually stated. The school is 'Ekoda High', [江古田] but there is some debate
on if 'Ono', where several heists take place, is the city's actual name. Icka uses Ekoda as the city name as a personal preference, but until we are told otherwise, neither is wrong. Ekoda High is also the same school the characters from Yaiba attend. |
