工藤新一 Kudo Shin'ichi [17]	Height/Weight: 174cm/5'7¾" (67.86") 58kg/127lb Date of Birth: 4 May [Taurus] Blood Type: A Hair/Eye Colour: Brown Hair, Blue Eyes. School: Teitan High, Class 2B (Currently under a Temporary Leave of Absence) Famous High School Detective who got shrunk when hit over the head and force-fed a poison, APTX (apotoxin)-4869. His father is the novel writer Kudo Yuusaku, famous for his 'Night Baron' series. His mother is a former famous actress, Kudo Yukiko. They've been traveling the world, leaving him to live by himself since he was 14. He stayed behind to stay close to Ran, whom he loves but won't tell until he gets his body back. Mid-fielder for his School's Soccer Team, Massive soccer fan. Hates raisins. Holmes fan, favourite book is 'Sign of the Four'. Can read music but cannot sing.
江戸川コナン Edogawa Conan [7]	Height/Weight: 122cm/ 4' (47.58") 18kg/40lb Date of Birth: 4 May [Taurus] Blood Type: A Hair/Eye Colour: Brown Hair, Blue Eyes. School: Teitan Elementary, Class 1B The shrunken Kudo Shin'ichi, who now lives a the Mouri Detective Agency, solving cases by knocking Mouri Kogoro out and mimicking his voice. Got his name by combining the names of two of his favourite authours 'Edogawa Ranpo' and 'Sir Conan Arthur Doyle', the creator of Sherlock Holmes.
毛利蘭 Mouri Ran [17]	Height: 160cm Blood Type: A Hair/Eye Colour: Brown Hair, Blue Eyes. School: Teitan High, Class 2B Grew up with Shin'ichi, their mothers are best friends. In love with Shin'ichi and is patiently (usually) waiting his return. Doesn't realise that Conan is Shin'ichi although she sometimes suspects it. Her parents are separated and she makes efforts to get them back together. Takes care of both her father and Conan. Won the Prefecture Championship for Karate. Her name means 'Orchid'.
毛利小五郎 Mouri Kogoro [37]	Former Police Detective, now a private inspector. Not very good at either. Separated from his wife, Kisaki Eri, but still loves her and she him. (they just can't live together) Has a reputation as the Famous Detective Sleeping Kogoro for his ability to solve tough cases once he falls asleep. (it's Conan) Cares deeply for his daughter although he is a slob, likes horse races and mahjong.
鈴木園子 Suzuki Sonoko [17]	Ran's best friend and classmate, youngest daughter of the Suzuki Zaibatsu. Extremely wealthy, doesn't make an issue of it. Loud-mouthed, kind of shallow, boy-crazy and extremely loyal to Ran. Currently in a long distance relationship with Makoto, a Karate Champion. Likes to tease Ran about being married to Shin'ichi. Motto apparently is "No Love, No Life!" Nicknamed "Spell Magician" during the Magic Lover's Club.
阿笠　博士 Agasa Hiroshi-hakase [52] ('hakase' means he has a Ph.D in something)	Shin'ichi's next door neighbour. Knows Conan is Kudo. A scientist whom at the beginning of the series was constantly trying to create toys for kids and failing. Now acts as a Grandfather towards the Shonen Tantei, inventing gadgets for Conan and games for Shonen Tantei. Information that only Shin'ichi knows: He has a mole on his behind with one hair growing out of it. How does Shin'ichi know this? No one knows but them.

ブラック • スター Black Star (Large Black Pearl)	• Follows the flashback in Magic Kaito volume 4, 'First Contact'. • The Black Star has been the Suzuki Family's Good Luck Charm for 60 years • Ran sees Kaito in Shibuya and mistakes him for Shin'ichi. • Two part heist, Kid dares the Suzuki family to bring the real pearl out. • Heist first takes place on 1 April, then on 19 April • Fails heist, Conan intercepted get away. 鈴木　史郎 Suzuki Shiro [51]	Sonoko's Father. President/Director of the Suzuki Consortium.
鈴木　朋子 Suzuki Tomoko [43]	Sonoko's Mother. Attempts to fool the Kid by making everyone wear a fake 'Black Star Pearl'. The trick backfires when the Kid replaces the pearls with his own exploding ones.
鈴木　綾子 Suzuki Ayako [24]	Sonoko's Older Sister. A very quiet woman. She missed the boat.
茶木　神太郎 Shintarou Chaki [49]	Superintendent of the Metropolitan Police Investigation Section 2. A very large intense man who is backing the chase to capture the Kaitou Kid. Shows up later in the third movie.
籏本　祥二 Hatamoto Shoji [41]	Head of a French Restaurant, now a chain. Originally appeared in Volume 3.1-6. A fairly laid back large man who prepares cuisine for dinner aboard the Queen Elizabeth.
三船　拓也 Mifune Takuya [26]	Mifune Electron Industry President. Originally Appeared in Vol. 9. A very skeptical man, despite his age. Has dark skin and long hair, pulled back in a severe ponytail.
富沢　雄三 Tomizawa Yuuzou [28]	Artist. Ayako's Finance. A very shy, quiet man.
真田　一三 Sanada Kazumi [27]	Magician. Mentioned later in 'Magic Lover's Club' as becoming very popular. Dresses as the Kaitou Kid and is 'killed' by Tomoko. He then performs some sleight of hand card tricks to predict the card that will be pulled... Only to find that his trick has been tricked by the Kid himself.
沖野　ヨーコ Okino Yoko [21]	Japan's current #1 Idol. Mouri's a huge fan of hers. She really doesn't appear in this episode, Mouri gets carried away and they place a guard on her, based off of a rather loose interpitation of the warning note.

田中　貴久恵 Tanaka Kikue [28]	Online Handle: 『影法師』/ Kage Houshi "The Shadow Manipulator" Has a mole to the left of her mouth. Types like a man. Boiled water for bath after being chosen via a Magic Trick. Niece of Harui Fuden.
荒　義則 Ara Yoshinori [46]	Online Handle: 『無口な腹話術師』 "Ventriloquist Magician" (lit: Silent Ventriloquist) Owner of the house they're staying at. Favourite Magician is Kuroba Toichi (deceased).
浜野　利也 Hamano Toshiya [27]	Online Handle: 『消えるバニー』 / Kieru Bunny "Invisable Bunny" Favourite Magician is Tsukumo Motoyasu (deceased). Types like a girl, even managed to convince Naoko to e-mail him about perfume and underwear! Chosen to be Game Leader when his Magic Trick to chose roles backfired. His was the mysterious body surrounded by unbroken snow. Second victim.
黒田　直子 Kuroda Naoko [25]	Online Handle: 『イリュージョン』 "Illusion" Favourite Magician is Sanada Kazumi. She was chosen to be the Temporary Leader via a Magic Trick.
西山　務 Nishiyama Tsutomu [41]	Online Handle: 『脱出王』 / Dasshutsu-Oh "King of Evasion" (lit: Escape King) An extremely good King of Evasion, he didn't even show up to the party he organized! Found dead in his apartment in Haido, first to be killed by "The Shadow Manipulator"
須鎌　清日呂 Sugama Kiyohiro [23]	Temporary employee. Very scary looking person. Admired the beauty and art of an impossible murder.
春井　風伝 Harui Fuden [-]	Online Handle: 『イカサマ童子』 / Ikasama Doushi "Little Cheater" Veteran Magician, died a month previous during a performance. Known as the "The Japanese King of Evasion." Specialty was escape tricks.

Twilight Palace

黄昏の館 Mansion covered with Gold	• Kid summoned by someone using his name • Introduction of Hakuba's Hawk, Watson, whom he got in England. • Stated that Kid does not Kill. • Doesn't steal mansion. • Mouri rents a Crown Victoria car, which are often used for police cars in the United States.	Disguises: Mouri Kogoro, possibly gas attendant. Gadgets: Hang glider, Mouri's Car, something to blow a tire out.

千間　降代 Senma Furuyo [63]	Detective. Most likely based off the character 'Mrs. Marple'. Known for being an 'armchair detective', listening to people talk and being able to figure out the mystery from that. Drove a Mercades Benz.
茂木　遥史 Mogi Harufumi [39]	Detective. Most likely based off the character 'Marlow'. 40th birthday is in a few weeks. Shot by the Mafia in Chicago the previous week, has forgotten all about it. Owns a Alfa Romeo sports car which he saved up for five years to afford. Therefore he doesn't like anyone touching his baby. Smokes, has a sense of humour, gets beaten in billiards by Hakuba. Refers to Mouri as "Small Moustache".
大上　祝善 Oogami Syukuzen [51]	The Cooking Detective. Most likely based off the character 'Nero Wolfe'. ('Oogami' means 'Wolf') Very large man, requires fine food to delight the palette and stimulate his brain. Gourmet chef because of this. Has a habit of biting on the nail of his thumb. Drove a Porsche. Died at 22:34.51 from Cyanide Poisoning.
槍田　郁美 Souda Ikumi [29]	Lady Detective. Former Detective, fond of using Luminol. Drove a Ferrari.
石原　亜紀 Ishihara Aki [23]	Maid. Doesn't know who hired her, all communications are through e-mail via mobile phone. Has a habit of gnawing on her thumb nail when nervous.
烏丸　蓮耶 Karasuma Renya [-]	Multimillionaire, former owner of the house. Deceased over 40 years ago at the ripe old age of 99.
千間　恭介 Senma Kyosuke [-]	Senma's father who passed away 40 years ago. An archeologist search of the secret of the Twilight Palace. He was killed after figuring it out.

ルピン Lupin Robin/Reuben	Jiroki's Dog. Some kind of hound/mutt? Wears an old pilot cap, goggles and a bandana.

仁王の石 Ni-Oh no Ishi Jewel of the Two Guardian Deva Kings (Large Diamond)	• Conan stumbles on Kid while investigating a stone. • Conan lets Kid go because he saved Genta's life. • Kid's parting words are alluding that unmasking him is like opening Pandora's Box. • Diamond is returned, it was not the stone he's looking for. 千住えり Senjuu Eri [72]	Treasure Hunter. The old lady first appeared to be there taking care of Kichiemon's gravestone. She continuously attempted to try to get everyone to quit looking for the stone and go home.
堆沙利奈 Akutsu Sarina [29]	Treasure Hunter. Pretty young woman with extremely good accuracy with throwing knives. She's also the one who betrayed and killed her partner.
須藤雲造 Sutou Unzou [40]	Treasure Hunter. A large friendly bear like man looking for the stone. He keeps an eye on the Shonen Tantei, helping them out on several occasions.
玉井照尚 Tamai Teruhisa [42]	Dead Body. Former Treasure Hunter who was double crossed by a thief and killed by being strangled and tossed in a pond, the remains of stone lanterns tossed on top of him. He left behind a notebook of clues that Conan, Haibara and the Shonen Tantei use to solve the mysteries of the mansion.
三水吉右衛門 Samizu Kichiemon [-]	Also known as 'Puppeteer Kichiemon'. Lived in the Bakumatsu era. Created such amazing puppets that he became wealthy, which he then used to finance others. He left behind a complex mansion full of traps to guard his treasure, a giant diamond. Riddles were left inside a stone lantern in front of the mansion and on a mock gravestone. A magatama (a tear or embryo shaped stone) with kanji 'Honou' (fire) carved on it, a carved stone Kagami (mirror) with the kanji 'Ei' (forever) on it and a stone sword, Kusanagi, (sword) with the kanji 'Ryuu' (dragon) were left behind as clues as well. The Mirror, the Orb/Stone and the sword are Japan's three mystical treasures.

Kaitou Kid and the Four Masterpieces

"青嵐" "Seiran" (a Painting)	• Kid summoned by someone using his name • According to reporters, this is Conan's third face off with the Kid. Conan says they've met more than that, they just run into each other. • Nakamori gives Megure the run down on events, then leaves, since who ever sent the note obviously isn't Kid. 翁川武頼 Oikawa Takeyori [59]	Artist. Famous for his series of paintings 'Guren' (Bright Red), 'Konjiki' (Gold), 'Junbaku' (Pure White) and is in the process of unveiling the last one, 'Seiran' (Young Wind). Has a habit of being overly dramatic in his speech. His wife died 5 years ago, just before Junbaku was released. She had been wounded 15 years ago overseas in a tornado incident and had been in coma ever since. He pained Guren to help cover her hospital bills. Has a younger brother.
神原晴仁 Kanbara Haruhito [82]	Former Famous Landscape Artist, hasn't touched a brush since he injuried his hand ten years ago. Takeyori's Father-In-Law.
高木ワタル Takagi Wataru	Police Inspector from Division One. A friendly guy. Has a crush on Satou, is slightly picked on by the rest of the force because Satou is friendly with him.
千葉 Chiba	Police Inspector from Division One. On the plump side, often seen eating. Friends with Takagi and Satou.
佐藤美和子 Satou Miwako	Police Inspector from Division One. Most of the men in the police force are in love with her, she's obvlivious to it. She's a fan of the Kaitou Kid.

Volume 54: Detective Koshien

-	• Hakuba invited to join a contest between High School detectives. • Hakuba states he has solved about 500 cases in Japan alone. • It is commented that Hakuba is better at thefts than murders • No Kaitou Kid.	-

服部平次 Hattori Heiji [17]	Hair/Eye Colour: Dark Brown Hair, Blue to Green Eyes. Dark skin. Location: Neyagawa-shi, Osaka, Japan. School: Kaihou School, Year 2 "The Detective of the West", a rather laid back detetective with a temper and close friend of Kudo Shin'ichi. Claims to have solved more than 1,000 cases.
越水七槻 Koshimizu Natsuki [20]	Hair Colour: Shortish Dyed Light Brown Location: Fukuoka School: Unknown, year 3 "Detective of the South", she uses 'Kimi' and 'Boku' in her speach, easily passing as a boy. First appears listening to headphones, has a light teasing sense of humour. Has solved about 100 cases. Graduated two years ago, poses as an 18-year old school girl to catch the teenage detective who solved 'The Lavender Mansion' murders, which resulted in her best friend's suicide.
時津潤哉 Tokitsu Junya [18]	Location: Hokkaido "Detective of the North", a droopy eyed young man, who tends to be on the quiet side. First seen playing video games on a portable game player. Has solved about 300 cases, resulting in 250 arrests. The rest either escaped or suicided.
槌尾広生 Tsuchio Hiroo [41]	An actor hired to play a Nichiuri TV Producer. A rather nervous fellow.
甲谷廉三 Kouya Renzou [58]	Caretaker while they're on the island. He cooks and cleans. Former butler to at the Lavender Mansion.

Volume 55: 工藤新一少年の冒険
Adventure of Young Kudo Shinichi

-	• A flashback to 10 years ago. • Kudo Yuusaku attempted to catch the Kid in the past, much as Conan does with the current Kid. • Shin'ichi is Kid's Older Brother, Yuusaku is the parent of the Kid's name. • Toichi taught Kudo Yukiko disguise and roleplay. The two are still friends. • Toichi gave young Shin'ichi a series of riddle to solve in order to give Toichi a message. • Shin'ichi doesn't solve the final riddle until now.	-

工藤優作 Kudo Yuusaku [38] [28 in flashback]	Shin'ichi's Father. Famous for writing the 'Night Baron' novels. Chased after Toichi as the Kaitou Kid ten years ago. He accidently saw a newspaper reporter write down '1412' and read it as 'KID'.
工藤有希子 Kudo Yukiko [37] [27 in flashback]	Shin'ichi's Mother. Popular famous actress and model, she used to star as in a TV series as 'The Night Baroness'. Studied under Kuroba Toichi, one of the 'Seven Knights She Has Met', learning the art of disguise and role playing.

Volume 61: 怪盗キッドの瞬間移動魔術
Kaitou Kid's Teleportation Magic

紫紅の爪パープル・ネイル Purple Nail ( Mule-style shoes with 100 karat Amethysts on the toes.)	• Kid challenged by Suzuki Jirokichi, rematch from 'Kid's Miracle Mid-Air Walk' • Kid teleports to the top of a 30 metre tall building to escape. • One of the mules was a fake, Kid requests they come back the next day to get the other shoe. • Tosses cards out into the audience to read outloud for the '3, 2, 1' countdown. • Conan kicks off Kid's monocle with a soccer ball while the Kid is flying away. • Discusses the 'Three Principles of Magic' according to Howard Thurston with Conan. • Conan interrupts Kid's Magic Trick • Kaito wears the same pirate logo on his clothing that he did for 'Black Knight'.	Disguises: Kuroba Kaito Gadgets: Note Cards, Cloak, Pulley, Jii-chan in the manga, mysterious young man in the anime.

'Iron Tanuki'

鉄狸 'Iron Tanuki' (A large Safe, the last work of Samizu Kichiemon.)	• Nakamori commenting that he is turning 'Cold Hearted' with the recent lack of Kid activity • A fake notice is sent to Suzuki Jiroki, who reports it to the media, but not the police. Heist note is vertical, not horizontal. • Jiroki and Superintendent Chiaki are Alumini of the same University and appear to get along well. • A real Kid note is found inside the room with the pressurised floor, in front of the Iron Tanuki. • Jiroki asked Kid for help because he locked Lupin in the safe, along with the directions for how to get the safe open. 瀬戸瑞紀 Seto Mizuki	A maid who just started working for Jiroki. She's fond of dogs, having raised one from a young age.
秋津益彦 Akitsu Masuhiko	Employee. Also just started, appears to be a rather clumsy and nervous man.
後藤善悟 Gotou Zengo	Jiroki's bodyguard. Just started. He doesn't say a lot, but appears to be highly dependable.

麒麟の角 'Kirin's Horn' (Piece of Amber in the shape of a horn with plant matter mixed in.)	• Kirin's horn was discovered a week prior at a temple • Shonen Tantei invited by Jiroki as 'The Kid is Weak vs Children' • Kirin Statue hidden inside of a pillar in the temple that can only be opened when the keys are turn inside 4 pedestals, (green, red, white, black) one in each corner of the room. • Conan is knocked out by a stun-gun/taser as the Horn is stolen.
